A multi-site transportation case study covering 597 drivers across 23 sites over a six-year period found that AlertMeter sites achieved significant reductions in transportation losses compared to sites not using the tool. They saw an 85% reduction in losses per incident and a 47% reduction in incident rate. Across seven sites with full AlertMeter adoption, transportation losses were reduced by nearly $1.9 million over two years, with damage per incident falling from $19,500 to $7,000.
The severity picture is equally striking. Incidents resulting in losses greater than $100,000 were twice as frequent on sites without AlertMeter. Expanding the tool to all drivers in the same analysis was projected to reduce the frequency of these high-severity events by half.
Across AlertMeter’s broader deployment base, the average outcomes are consistent: a 40% reduction in workers’ compensation costs, a 35% reduction in Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), and a 37% reduction in the cost of incidents overall.
